SCIAC Swim and Dive Championships Day 1

Today was day one of the SCIAC Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by Occidental College at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool. The Univeristy of La Verne women's team is currently in sixth place with a score of 67.

Amanda McCadden placed seventh in the 3-meter dive finals with a score of 249.75.

The 400-yard medley relay team, Jaycee Hallford, Bethie Ross, Tiffany Martin and Brittany Orduno, came in sixth place in the finals, with a time of 4:23.55.

The 200-yard freestyle relay, Orduno, Martin. Erin Morten, and Hallford, placed seventh, coming in at 1:46.52.

Ross came in the fourth in the consolation finals, and 12^th overall, in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:23.41.

The SCIAC Championships will continue tomorrow. The preliminaries start at 10AM and the finals start at 5PM.
