Today was day two of the SCIAC Swimming and Diving Championships
hosted by Occidental College at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool. The
University of La Verne women's team is currently in seventh place
with a score of 132.
The 800-yard freestyle relay team, Ross, Morten, Shelby
Broyles and Terrah Carroll, placed fifth in finals, coming in
at 8:34.75
Amanda
McCadden placed seventh in the 1-meter dive finals.
The 200-yard medley relay team, Jaycee
Hallford,
Bethie Ross,
Erin Morten
and Brittany
Orduno, came in seventh place in the finals, with a time of
2:01.35.
Tiffany
Martin placed seventh in the consolation finals, and
15th overall, in the 100-yard butterfly, coming in at
1:01.67.
The SCIAC Championships will continue tomorrow. The
preliminaries start at 10AM and the finals start at
5PM.
