Today was the final day of the SCIAC Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by Occidental College at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool. The University of La Verne women's team placed seventh overall with a score of 161.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team, Bethie Ross, Tiffany Martin, Jaycee Hallford and Brittany Orduno, placed seventh, coming in at 3:52.32.
Martin came in fourth in the 200-yard butterfly consolation finals, 12th overall, with a time of 2:18.14
Shelby Broyles placed 17th overall in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 19.25.02.
La Verne will say goodbye to seniors Tiffany Martin and Amanda McCadden, but will return 14 other Leopards for the 2011-2012 season.
