Women's Cross Country Finishes 7th at SCIAC Championships

BREA, CA — The University of La Verne women's cross-country team finished in seventh place at the 2024 SCIAC Championships.

Marissa Hehir just missed earning back-to-back All-SCIAC honors. Hehir paced the Leopards with a 21st place finish with a time of 23:21. The top 20 runners earn All-SCIAC recognition.

Ryleigh LaRue finished next for the Leopards, ending in 42nd place with a time of 24:02.80.

Lizbeth Garcia (25:09) and Peyton Carrera (25:24) followed next.

Ashley Kodama ran 26:02 faster than her previous season's best. Jenna Schwarz posted a time of 26:36.

The Leopards compete next on Saturday, November 16 when they head to Portland for the NCAA West Regionals hosted by Lewis and Clark.
