Krich Announces Resignation as Head Football Coach

LA VERNE, CA — University of La Verne Director of Athletics Dr. Jenna Panatier has announced the resignation of head football coach Chris Krich.

"We are sincerely grateful to Coach Krich for his tireless work, dedication, and commitment to the Leopard football program. His admirable passion for the La Verne football team has positively impacted the lives of countless student-athletes throughout his tenure. We wish him the very best in his future pursuits," said Panatier.

Krich joined La Verne in 2011 and led the Leopards for 13 seasons. In 2015 he guided the Leopards to their first SCIAC title since 1995 with an undefeated conference slate. That year he led the Leopards to their first NCAA Playoff appearance in 20 years, finished with an 8-2 overall record, and was honored with the SCIAC Coaching Staff of the Year award. Second Team All-American running back Travis Sparks-Jackson led the Leopards that season.

Under his tenure, 73 Leopards earned All-SCIAC honors including 29 First Team All-SCIAC selections.

The University of La Verne is finalizing details regarding the next steps in the hiring process for this position.
