LA VERNE, CA — Major Hurley received his first SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Monday.

Hurley was a key contributor in an 80-67 victory for the University of La Verne over Linfield College. The junior guard recorded two steals and five rebounds off the defensive glass while adding six points and an assist. La Verne basketball is back in action at CMS on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
