Hector Duenas-Pena, Men's Soccer

The senior had two stellar performances inside the pipes to help soccer earn two crucial points in the conference play! He posted a shutout with six saves in a 0-0 draw at Cal Lutheran and ended the week with eight saves in a 1-1 match against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Mya Ray, Women's Volleyball
Mya had another monster week! 56 kills, 32 digs, 7 blocks, and 3 aces as the undefeated No. 1 ranked Leopards rolled past Whittier, Pomona-Pitzer, and No. 19 CMS.

Jomar Brown, Football
Jomar had a massive game in the Leopards’ 26-8 road win at Pomona-Pitzer. The junior defensive back picked off the Sagehens twice in the win and finished with four tackles. His first pick set up La Verne’s opening field goal. He snagged another ball in the final seconds of the first half to preserve a 19-0 lead at halftime.

Jocelyn Cruz, Women's Cross Country

The freshman led the Leopards as the only DIII squad in a field of D1, DII, and NAIA programs at the San Francisco State Invitational with a time of 24:37.4!

Finn McClure, Men's Cross Country
Finn led the way with a strong 25:43.9 and a top-30 finish to pace for the Leopards at the San Francisco State Invitational. The Leopards took sixth place as the only DIII team in a field of DI, D2 and NAIA programs!

Keilani
 Mumolo, Women's Volleyball
Keilani was the defensive anchor for the No. 1 Leopards in a perfect 3-0 week. At No. 17 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, she totaled 10 digs and added two aces in the sweep. In a home win over Cal Lutheran, she tallied a team-high 24 crucial digs in the five-set match with one ace. She ended the week with five digs and a kill at Caltech!

Mya Ray, Women's Volleyball

Mya played another standout week in a pair of wins for No. 1 ranked Leopards! In a five-set thriller over Whittier, she delivered a season-high 30 kills on .329. In a four-set home win over Pomona-Pitzer, she hit .455 with 25 kills. She finished the week with six blocks, three aces, two assists, and 12 digs.

Hector Duenas-Pena, Men's Soccer

Hector played another perfect week! He recorded seven saves in the shutout, 1-0 win over Chapman. He now has 23 saves on the season while maintaining his perfect save percentage.

Mya Ray, Volleyball
Mya was dominant for the No. 5 University of La Verne volleyball team in one of the biggest regular-season weekends in program history. The Leopards defeated No. 3 UW-Oshkosh, No. 8 Hope College, and receiving votes University of Chicago. She finished the week with 60 kills, six aces, 38 digs, six blocks, and four assists. She led the Leopards from down 2-0 to beat UW-Oshkosh 3-2 with 24 kills. In that game, she became La Verne’s all-time kills leader with 1,531 kills and counting. She added 24 kills and 15 digs against Hope and finished with 12 kills vs Chicago.

Hector Duenas-Pena, Men's Soccer
Hector Duenas-Pena was untouchable in the Leopards' 2-0 win over Park-Gilbert. The keeper turned away 15 shots and recorded 11 saves to keep his slate clean. Earlier in the week, He recorded two saves to preserve a 0-0 tie against Willamette. Duenas-Pena has been perfect on the season, recording 16 saves with zero goals allowed.

Mya Ray, Volleyball
Ray led the No. 7 Leopards to a perfect 3-0 showing at the Whittier Invitational. La Verne dropped just one set across the three matches. She posted double-digit kills in each win, finishing with 54 kills on a .495 hitting percentage. She added 26 digs, eight blocks, and five aces.
