LA VERNE, CA – The women's soccer team walked away with a hard-earned tie after their first Division III match-up of the season with the George Fox University Bruins.
Katy Beck played another great game in front of the net. A game after recording nine saves against NCAA Division II opponent Cal State San Bernardino, she notched her first clean slate of the year with two saves.
Standout players for the Leopards included
Kailey Kolesar and
Khalea Turingan led the Leopards offensively with seven combined shots.
The Leopards maintained offensive control for the majority of the game and fired multiple attempts at the net, finishing with 12 shots on goal compared to the Bruins' three.
La Verne kept pressure in the final few minutes, but couldn't convert some near misses.

The Leopards are back in action on September 6 when they take on the Master's University Mustangs away at Reese Field.
