LA VERNE, CA — The University of La Verne women's soccer team walked away with a tie against the Chapman University Panthers Saturday night.
The Leopards hosted their first SCIAC home game on Saturday and played a tough ninety minutes.
Sienna Cervantes played well and got the first look at the goal just under 15 minutes into the match but her attempt was saved by Kate Crowley.
Lexi Torres and
Khalea Turingan both let off shots at the end of the second half that were saved.
La Verne peppered Chapman with seven shots in the second half but couldn't break through.
Katy Beck was back in goal and played beautifully. She ended the night with eight saves, just shy of her career-high of nine.
The Leos are back in action on Wednesday, September 24th at the University of Redlands at 7 p.m.
