ARCADIA, CA — The University of La Verne men's and women's golf teams are set to open up the 2026 SCIAC Golf Championships on Thursday.

The tournament, hosted by Occidental College at Santa Anita Golf Course, begins today and will conclude on Saturday.
On the women's side, seniors
Alexis Aguilera and
Taylor Ward will look to pace the Leopards.
For the men,
Manuel Huerta will look for another strong performance after finishing fourth at SCIAC No. 1
Tickets
Tickets must be purchased upon arrival at the pro shop ($5 Thu-Fri, $8 Sat).
Spectators are encouraged to remain on cart paths and out of the brush areas.
GOLF CARTS – Golf carts will be provided to credentialed coaching staff only (one cart per men's team and one cart per women's team). Only spectators with official disability documentation can purchase a cart rental.
PET POLICY – The course has a strict policy regarding spectators bringing pets – none are allowed.
Starting Procedures
The 5, 6, and 7 teams will go out first with their #5- to #1-ranked players. The next wave will be teams 1, 2, 3, and 4 with their #5- to #1-ranked players. Players will start in reverse order (player #5 to #1).
Team pairings for the championship for the first day will be based on the NCAA team ranking system. After each round, the #1-5 players will be adjusted according to score. The teams will also be paired based on current standings – Day 2 of the championship will be based on Day 1. Day 3 will be based on the combined Days 1 and 2.
