ARCADIA, CA — Alexis Aguilera finished top 15 as the University of La Verne women's golf team took part in the SCIAC Championships.

Aguilera was dominant, finishing 12 over par. After opening six over par with three birdies and five over par with four birdies in round two, she followed that up with a +1 final round that included three birdies, marking a personal-best and capping off an impressive showing. Aguilera's finish was the best for a Leopards since Jordyn Janert took 15th in 2023.

Taylor Ward placed 26th overall and showed flashes of strong scoring throughout the tournament. In the opening round, Ward carded a seven over performance highlighted by a birdie and an eagle. She added two birdies in both the second and third rounds.

Grace Freitas rounded out the group with a 32nd-place finish, recording five birdies across the three rounds. Her consistent ability to generate scoring opportunities contributed to the team's overall effort throughout the event.
