Leopard Compete in Final Tune Up Before SCIAC Championships

BEAUMONT, CA — The University of La Verne women's golf team took part in the SCIAC #2 Tournament, finishing eighth overall.

Four of the six Leopards golfers finished grouped together on the leaderboard. Taylor Ward, Grace Freitas, Alexis Aguilera, and Mia Gonzales ended their weekend ranked 37th, 38th, 39th, and 40th, shooting a +39, +40, +41, and +42, respectively. Grace Freitas recorded three birdies over her two rounds.

Hayley Kucera and Ysabel Zamora weren't far behind at 44th and 45th.

The Leopards return to action for the SCIAC Championships hosted by Oxy at the Santa Anita Golf Course in Arcadia on April 23rd.
