LA VERNE, CA — The University of La Verne men's basketball team received the 2025-26 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, while eight players were named to the NABC Honors Court.
The Team Academic Excellence Award is given to teams who obtain a cumulative GPA for the year of 3.0 and above. The NABC Honors Court is reserved for juniors and seniors who finished the 2025-26 year with at least a 3.20 GPA. Cody Aquino, Elijah Akande, Higgy Katoa, Jackson Gray, Julian Daaboul, Kason White, Major Hurley, and Ryan Lin were all recognized for La Verne.
These achievements highlight the Leopards' commitment both in the classroom and on the court. The program continues to emphasize academic success alongside athletic development, with student-athletes demonstrating the discipline and dedication required to excel in both areas.
