LA VERNE, CA — The University of La Verne football team opens its 2026 campaign against the Azusa Pacific Cougars on Saturday, September 5th. Led by career receptions and yards leader Jimmy Rumsey and lockdown defensive back Jomar Brown, the Leos look to start strong in year two of the Coach Sanchez era.
Azusa Pacific is making its NCAA Division III debut and playing its first game in six years since reinstating the program.

Game Information
Gates will open at 3:00 p.m. Canopies ARE NOT allowed in the stadium. Umbrellas are permitted only at the top row of the bleachers as long as they DO NOT BLOCK the press box's view of the field. Ice chests/coolers are not allowed in the stadium.

Fans are not allowed on the field after the game, unless they have been assigned a designated pass. Fans with a pass are allowed on the field after a 10 minute cooling off period.

Visiting spectators can greet their players at the south end of the stadium.
