The University of La Verne women's swimming and diving team competed against Occidental College Saturday morning at the La Verne Aquatics Center. Despite their best efforts they lost in a 152-69 final.
Tarrah Carroll placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke coming in at 2:58.70, followed by Erin Morten who placed second (3:05.89). Carroll also had a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (2:12.12)
La Verne's 400-yard medley relay team,
Jaycee Hallford,
Bethie Ross,
Tiffany Martin and
Brittany Orduno, finished second, coming in at 4:28.92. Hallford also placed second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:28.58. Ross placed second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:38.09).
Martin had two second place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle (26.66) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:21.39).
Amanda Mccadden came in fourth in the 1 Meter Dive (184.05) and in the 3 Meter Dive (183.75).
The Leos will compete in the SCIAC Diving Prelims on Saturday, February 12th in Claremont. SCIAC Championships will be on Sunday, February 20th-22nd in Long Beach.
