LONG BEACH, CA — In good conditions at Long Beach State's Pacific Coast Invitational, a small group of Leo's continued to impress with several personal Bests, season bests, and solid consistent performances.
"It was a good day to be a Leo. I'm very proud of our efforts at Long Beach State against mostly NCAA Division I competition. Going into the championship portion of our schedule, our training and competition performances are trending to where we need to be for SCIAC in a couple of weeks," said University of La Verne head track and field coach Kevin Reid.
Tyler Thomas highlighted the meet by setting a new La Verne record in the 100m dash with a wind-legal time of 10.63. Thomas set the previous record last year with an all-weather conditions time of 10.56 (10.69).

Still left on the agenda for the weekend is a big night of distance running at the first-ever Leopard Distance Carnival today, Friday, April 12 beginning at 3:30 p.m. Select individuals will compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational Friday night and Saturday.
The Leopards also host their as well as our last home meet of the season – SCIAC Multi Duals #3. Meet time at Ortmeyer Stadium will be at 10am on Saturday 12 April.
