REDLANDS, CA — The University of La Verne men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete at the SCIAC Track and Field Championships. The two-day meet hosted at teh University of Redlands' Ted Runner Stadium, begins Saturday, May 2, and ends Sunday, May 3

Tickets are for purchase online for $10 plus fees. Tickets onsite are available for purchase by credit card only for $10. Students, faculty, and staff with a valid SCIAC institution ID, and children 12 and under are free.
Leopard Preview
Several Leopards who rank among the conference's best are in the hunt for a podium spot. Hunter Bond enters as the favorite in the decathlon, ranked first in the SCIAC with 5996 points.
In the middle distance and distance events, Ryleigh LaRue ranks sixth in the 800m with a time of 2:18.35. Joseph Chavarria comes in at ninth in the 10,000m.
Harrison Brown has a top-five ranking in both hurdle events. He's third in the (56.28) and fifth in the 110m Hurdles (15.35).
Alec Maxwell will look to medal in the pole vault (14' 5.25"), entering with the fifth-best mark in the SCIAC. In the women's pole vault, both Chloe Chong and Elena Cox enter at 9' 0.25" in a tie for 10th.
Journee Jones will lead the Leopards in the throws, entering seventh in the hammer throw (136' 6").
In the jumps, the Leopards have two athletes ranked in the top five. Deon Jordan (22' 0.25") is fourth, and Towart Kahungu (21' 11.5") is fifth. Jasmine Prajitno is just outside of the top 10, currently 11th in both the long jump (16' 7.25") and triple jump (33' 9.5"). Sir Jordan Underwood is 11th in the men's triple jump at (41' 7.25").
