WALNUT, CA — A handful of Leopards competed at the 64th Annual Mt. SAC Relays in their final competition before the SCIAC Championships.
"It was kind of a mixed bag of results today at the Mt. SAC Relays but was another good day against great competition in a big meet," said University of La Verne track and field head coach
Kevin Reid.
Zachary Reid highlighted the meet by winning his heat of the 110 hurdles to start the day with a time of 14.59.
Later in the day,
Tyler Thomas ran another personal best in the 200m, running 21.40. Thomas also posted a time of 10.71 in the 100m. Both Reid and Thomas recorded high-ranking non-NCAA DI results. Thomas ranks 17th in NCAA Division III in the 200m and Reid ranks 18th in the 110m hurdles.
Marissa Hehir ended the day by running just off her personal best in the 1500m with a time of 4:44.97.
Next Meet
The Leopards compete next at the SCIAC Championships. The two-day event begins on Saturday, April 27 at Pomona College's Strehle Track.
