Terry, Perry, Urquidi Named All-Region

GREENSBORO, NC — Nathan Perry, Gerald Terry, and Niko Urquidi have earned All-Region Region 10 honors.

Perry picks up the first All-Region honors of his career. He was named D3baseball.com First Team All-Region and ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-Region. The catcher led the Leopards with 45 runs and 83 total bases. He ranked near the top of the squad in most offensive categories, finishing the year with a .356 batting average, .949 OPS, 58 hits, 41 RBIs, 11 doubles, and 14 stolen bases.

Terry was tabbed All-Region for the third straight season. The Leopards' ace was named ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-Region and D3baseball.com Third Team All-Region for his dominance on the mound. Terry finished the season with an 8-3 record, a 3.03 ERA, and 78 strikeouts. He put on one of the best performances of his career against Trinity in the deciding game of the regionals when he returned from injury, pitched eight innings, struck out seven, and put the Leopards in position to claim back-to-back regional titles. Opposing batters managed only a .201 batting average against him

Urquidi picked up ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-Region accolades to cap off an incredible debut season in the orange and green. The SCIAC Newcomer of the Year and Leopards' workhorse led La Verne with 102 strikeouts and a 2.81 ERA with batters hitting just .207 against the young lefty. He struck out a career-high 13 batters in a win over Pacific and 11 in the SCIAC Tournament opening win over Cal Lutheran.
