LA VERNE, CA — The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced on Monday that
Justin Ries has been named SCIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
The sophomore put together a standout effort in his lone appearance of the week. After a lightning delay, Ries stepped onto the mound in relief and dealt 5.1 innings against Wisconsin-La Crosse, striking out seven while giving up just two hits to pick up the win.
In his 2025 campaign, Ries is 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA, .92 WHIP and has struck out a total of 18 batters in 12 innings pitched.
The No. 10 Leopards, winners of ten straight games, continue their season this Thursday when they host the Franklin and Marshall College Diplomats at 3 p.m.
