La Verne Baseball Selected to Host NCAA Regionals

INDIANAPOLIS — The University of La Verne Leopards are set to host the NCAA Division III Baseball Regionals, the NCAA announced this morning.

The Leopards will host a four-team, double-elimination pod. The winner of the group will advance to the NCAA Super Regionals. The tournament will begin on Friday, May 16, and end on Sunday, May 18. Two games will be played on Friday, three on Saturday, and up to two games will be contested on Sunday.

La Verne clinched a spot in the NCAA Tournament by winning the SCIAC Tournament and earning the conference's automatic bid. 

Joining the Leopards at Ben Hines Field will be the Whitworth University Pirates, the McMurry University Warhawks, and the SCIAC rival Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens. Whitworth advanced after winning the Northwest Conference Tournament. The Warhawks, representing the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, and the Sagehens earned at-large bids.

Game one features Pomona-Pitzer and McMurry at 10 a.m. Game two will be between La Verne and Whitworth at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps also earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Playoffs. The Stags will travel to the Wisconsin-La Crosse regional along with the host Eagles, Bethany Lutheran, and Buena Vista.2025 NCAA Baseball Regional Bracket
