Five Leopards Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors in Women’s Water Polo

LA VERNE, CA — Five University of La Verne women's water polo student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Dottie Barrera, Maddie Grove, Brooklyn Young, Olivia Taylor, and Reiley Burton each earned the distinction for their outstanding achievements in the pool and in the classroom.

To qualify, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and participate in 90 percent of the team's contests or start in at least 66 percent of games played.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District Women's At Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and academics. Honorees are recognized across four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
