LA VERNE, CA — University of La Verne standout
Brianna Zapata has been named to the 2025 ACWPC Division III Women's Water Polo All-America Second Team, as announced by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches.
Zapata earns national recognition for her outstanding performance during the 2025 season, marking her second year receiving All-America honors after being named Honorable Mention in 2023.
The ACWPC All-America Team is one of the highest honors presented to collegiate water polo athletes, with selections made through nationwide votes from varsity coaches across the country. Zapata's consistent impact in the pool, leadership, and high-level play helped propel the Leopards throughout the season.
A senior utility player from Whittier, California, Zapata made her presence known on both ends of the pool. She led the team in several statistical categories, including goals, assists, and steals, and earned All-SCIAC First Team honors for this year.
