La Verne Volleyball Climbs to No. 2 in AVCA Division III Poll After Statement UW-Oshkosh Weekend

LA VERNE, CA - The University of La Verne women's volleyball team has surged to No. 2 in the latest AVCA/TARAFLEX Division III Women's Coaches Poll, following a stellar showing at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational. The Leopards improved to 9-0 on the season with wins over ranked opponents and further solidified themselves as one of the top programs in Division III.

La Verne's sweep of the UW-Oshkosh Invitational included key wins over No. 3 Wisconsin–Oshkosh and No. 8 Hope College, along with a strong four-set win against the University of Chicago. These victories underscored the Leopards' resilience, balance, and depth.

Senior outside hitter Mya Ray continued her historic run: not only breaking the school's all-time kills record, but performing at a high level to drive La Verne's offensive engine. Head coach Jeff Hendershot also hit a coaching milestone this past weekend-his 100th career win as ULV's head coach-further affirming the program's upward trajectory.
