MOORPARK, CA — Manuel Huerta posted a top 15 finish as the University of La Verne men's golf team competed in the CLU Kingsmen Invitational.

Huerta finished 15th out of 56 golfers with a +7. He shot just one over par in round one with four birdies and wrapped up his weekend with a +6 on day two.

David Cho posted a +21, Shreyas Kumaresh tallied a +23, and shaved five strokes off his card in round two. Kumaresh had four birdies in his second round to help secure a top 50 finish. Caleb Ruchaber finished at +27.

La Verne took ninth overall.

The Leopards return to action on April 3rd at SCIAC #2 hosted at Tukwet Champions Golf Course in Beaumont.
