ARCADIA, CA — David Cho posted a top-16 finish to lead the University of La Verne men's golf team at the SCIAC Men's Golf Championships at the Santa Anita Golf Course.
Cho led the way, finishing five over par in a tie for 16th place. After opening at three over, Cho bounced back with an impressive second round at -1, highlighted by two birdies and an eagle. He closed the tournament at three over, tallying five birdies in the final round to cap a consistent performance.
Shreyas Kumaresh followed closely behind, finishing seven over in 21st place. Kumaresh recorded three birdies in the opening round and continued to produce throughout the tournament, totaling 12 birdies across all three rounds. His most productive round came on the final day, where he carded five birdies en route to a +1 finish.
Manuel Huerta delivered one of the strongest final rounds of the tournament, finishing nine over and in 22nd place. After rounds of +3 and +8, Huerta surged on the final day with a two-under performance that included four birdies and an eagle, showcasing his ability to close strong.
Caleb Ruchaber rounded out the group with a 13-over finish in 29th place. He opened eight over par in round one, but responded with an even par second round featuring three birdies. Ruchaber continued to stay aggressive in the final round, recording five birdies and finishing at +5.
