Jason Bustos, who earned a spot on the Region VII All-Region Team.
Bustos, a biology major from Menifee, California, has been a driving force for the Leopards throughout the 2024–25 season. His consistent excellence on the course earned him Second Team All-SCIAC honors, and he currently ranks 26th nationally in NCAA Division III. Bustos recorded four top-five finishes this season, highlighted by a runner-up performance at SCIAC No. 1 and a fourth-place finish at SCIAC No. 4.
At the 2025 SCIAC Championships, Bustos showcased his skill by shooting under par in all three rounds (70-70-71), finishing at 5-under overall and securing 11th place. His performance included 16 birdies, tying for third-most among all competitors.
Beyond his athletic achievements, Bustos is also committed to his academic and professional goals. Besides golf he also serves as the treasurer for the Pre-Dental Club at La Verne. His dedication to both academics and athletics exemplifies the student-athlete ideal.
