Bustos Caps Standout Season at NCAA Championship

University of La Verne junior Jason Bustos concluded his standout 2024–25 season at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championship, as he shot 11 over par at the conclusion of two rounds. This marked his first appearance at the national level, capping a year filled with accolades and consistent performances.

Throughout the season, Bustos demonstrated exceptional skill and leadership. He secured medalist honors at the Redlands Invitational with a remarkable 12-under-par 204, including an opening round of 64. His consistent play earned him Second Team All-SCIAC honors for the second consecutive year, recognition as Leopard of the Week on two occasions, and a spot on the Division III PING Region VII All-Region Team, highlighting his impact among the top collegiate golfers in the region.

Bustos' run at the national championship not only marks a high point in his own collegiate career but also sets the tone for continued success within the La Verne men's golf program.
