LA VERNE, CA — Jack Holguin has been tabbed the SCIAC Pitcher of the Week, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced.

Freshman pitcher Jack Holguin stole the show for the University of La Verne baseball team
and was nearly perfect in a 15-0 win over Caltech. Holguin tossed a seven-inning, no-hit complete game. He struck out 10 Beavers with no walks and was one hit batter away from a perfect game. He was incredibly efficient, needing just 91 pitches to seal the impressive performance.

The Leopards will be back in action next Friday, April 10, at 3 p.m. against the California Lutheran Kingsmen at Campus West.
