LA VERNE, CA — Khalea Turingan has been tabbed SCIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Monday.

Turingan scored what proved to be the difference maker for the Leopards in a 2-1 win over Redlands. Just seven minutes after the Leopards' first score, the freshman lined up for a free kick a yard outside the top of the box. She called her own number and unleashed a hard shot past the outstretched arms of the diving Redlands keeper.

Turingan is the second La Verne women's soccer player to be named SCIAC Athlete of the Week. Kayla Allen earned the honor for her performance in wins over Life Pacific and Stanton.
