No. 1 Once More: La Verne Extends Streak as One of DIII’s Final Undefeateds

LA VERNE, CA - The University of La Verne women's volleyball team continues to dominate on the national stage, holding steady at No. 1 in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division III Coaches Poll for the seventh consecutive week.

Now 22-0 overall and 13-0 in SCIAC play, the Leopards remain one of only two undefeated teams in all of Division III volleyball. La Verne has showcased remarkable consistency throughout the year, combining a balanced offense, tough serving, and a resilient defense that has produced 12 sweeps this season, including last week's decisive 3-0 victories over both Cal Lutheran and Caltech.

Since first claiming the top ranking in mid-September, La Verne has continued to prove why it belongs among the nation's elite. The Leopards have built their success on teamwork, energy, and composure-qualities that have kept them atop the national standings and in control of the SCIAC race.

This week marks the final stretch of the regular season as the Leopards aim to complete an unbeaten conference slate and carry their momentum into postseason play. La Verne opens the week tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the University of Redlands at 7 p.m., before returning home to The Tents on Friday, Nov. 7, to host Occidental at 7 p.m. The team will then close out regular-season action on the road Saturday, Nov. 8, at Chapman at 4 p.m.

La Verne will look to finish the season strong and enter the upcoming SCIAC Tournament with confidence as one of the nation's top contenders.
