LA VERNE, CA — The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced that Katy Blue has been named the SCIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Blue delivered strong performance across two victories. In her first start of the season against APU, she recorded 11 saves, including eight in the second half, to earn a 1-0 shutout win. The keeper faced relentless pressure from the Cougars and turned away competitive shots in key moments.
Blue followed that effort with one save in a win over Caltech, contributing to the team's success in goal across both matches.
Up next, the Leopards return to Ortmayer as they take on 8th-ranked Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens on Wednesday at 7 P.M.
