LA VERNE, CA — Alyssa Tafolla has been named the SCIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Monday.

Tafolla guided the Leopards to a come-from-behind 4-3 win over George Fox. The freshman tossed 3.1 scoreless innings to earn her first collegiate win. She struck out four and allowed just one hit in the win.
Tafolla is the second Leopards softball player in as many weeks to earn SCIAC Athlete of hte Week honors.
Julia Miramontes picked up SCIAC Hitter of the Week honors after going 6-11 at the plate with two RBIs, four runs, four walks, five stolen bases, and one hit by pitch against Steves.
