LA VERNE, CA — Nathan Perry has been named the SCIAC Baseball Hitter of the Week, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Monday.

Perry had a dominant stretch over three games for the Leopards, as they outscored Occidental 42-18 to take the series. The catcher recorded seven hits and scored six runs, including two doubles and a triple, while driving in six RBIs. He also drew two walks and stole a base. Perry slashed an outstanding .636 batting average, a .733 on-base percentage, and a perfect 1.000 slugging percentage, showcasing an elite all-around offensive performance.
Earlier this season, he was named to the
D3baseball.com Team of the Week after tallying six RBIs five hits, five runs, a double and a triple, two walks, and a stolen base in the series against Caltech.
The center fielder and catcher is the second La Verne baseball player to earn SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors.
Jack Holguin earned
SCIAC Pitcher of the Week accolades after he struck out 10 and tossed a seven-inning no hitter against Caltech.
